Draft at Bierrex. Jet black color, beige head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, edge of smoke. Taste is burnt espresso and cocoa. Tasty.

Gravity cask at the 2016 Cambridge Beer Festival. Dark gold, hazy in that wonderful unfined way. Looseish white head. Smells - actually not so much smells as reeks - of orange peel, clove and coriander. OK, I feel like I’m trapped in a potpourri ornament. The saison yeast is a welcome distraction. Taste is sweetish sour with more clove and harsh citrus. Gritty yeast in the finish. Can you have too much of a good thing? I appreciate what they are trying to do but it is much of a muchness for me.
