Muckle Brewing is a small rural family run Northumberland Brewery, established in 2016. Situated close to Hadrian’s Wall this private brewery is located in the garden of owners Tom and Nicola Smith. The brewery, which is based near Haltwhistle, Northumberland specialises in small batch unfiltered and naturally carbonated beers in cask and bottle.

18/7/2019. Bottle from CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, hops, fruit, caramel, red berries and light vanilla. Moderate sweetness and light bitterness/tartness. Moderate body, watery texture, bit above average carbonation.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich berries, caramel, malt, hops and has a nice sweet caramel berry finish.

500ml bottle from Local in Carlisle. Shared with Finn on a train to Newcastle. Near-clear red-brown body, stable beige head, spotty lacing. Moderate smell of earthy malts and dried fruits. Flavoured with herbal hops, apricot and mid-sweet malts. Distant malt-fruity bitterness to the ending. Just alright. (08.02.2019).

Bottle from Taste of Northumberland. Pours clear amber with a thin off-white head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, biscuit. Taste is more of the same. Light sweet finish.
