Bottle 33 cl. Motor oil black with a tiny, rough, brown head. Intense Bourbon aroma with some unclean barrel notes. Rich, sweet roastiness - almost a coffee burn with solid Bourbon accents. Almost flat. Massive booze finish, and heavy roasty bitterness. The base beer is very rough in its roastiness but nor particularly thick, making the whole composition seem somewhat out of whack. 161022

Bottle, 11%. Distinct peat and whiskey aroma. Black colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is roasted and sweet. Sweet liquorice. Some peat but not excessive. Some spicy hops in there somewhere. Quite high bitterness in the finish. Late warming alcohol with some alcohol bitterness. Even later coffee notes.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of roast and malt, with peaty noted and touches of whisky. Bitter flavour of roast and peat, with notes of whisky and touches of malt and hops. Peaty and boozy aftertaste with estery notes. Warming alcohol presence. A nice one. I often find whisky-flavoured beer aggressive, but this one is not one of them.

Draught at KØ19. Distinct vanilla aroma. The flavour is fruity with a good vanilla note. Nice lemon touch as well, spicy finish. 737315

Sample, thanks fonefan! Black, beige head. Huge aroma of salmiak and peaty whisky. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Coffee and chocolate, lots of peaty whisky. Warming, bitter finish. Not complex or subtle, but if you like Islay whisky this is for you.

ABV: 11.0%. Clear dark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, barrel - bourbon, dark malt, wood - oak, alcohol - bourbon. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, boozy, wood - oak, barrel - vanilla - bourbon, dark malt - chocolate - roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20210430]
