Bottled. Hazy mahogany colour, small head. Rich coffee aroma. Light-medium bodied with well rounded mouthfeelLightly roasty with lots of coffee and a whiff of smoke.Salty bitterish finish. Plesant and quite complex.

Bottled. Hazy amber, rich head. Rich spicy caramel aroma. Rich spicy caramel aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Lots of spicy hops, growing bitter finish. Nice strong ale.

Initial flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter, finish flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, burnt dark malt - roasted malt, keller, cewer notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 12/05/2011. Medium brown in colour with a decent, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly earthy aroma with some fruity malts. Flavour of chewy malts, a touch of orange with a pleasantly bitter finish. Fine.
