Ongeveer midden jaren 80 begonnen Gert en Carina Kelder op hun slaapkamer hobbymatig bier te brouwen. Er werd een behoorlijk aantal jaren geëxperimenteerd met recepturen, gisten en ingrediënten. In 2003 werd er speciaal voor 'Gramsbergen Lichtstad' een feestbier gebrouwen dat goed in de smaak viel. Een jaar later werd op landgoed De Groote Scheere in Holthone een brouwerij opgezet. In 2009 verhuisde de brouwerij van het landgoed naar een schippers- of huiskamercafé aan het kanaal in het stadje Gramsbergen.

Tap at Borefts. Clear golden. Crisp malts, grassy hops, corn, hamster feed, light mineral. Crisp and clean, medium sweet.

Tap at Borefts. Clear dark brown. Ash, massive smoke, earthy, caramel, bacon. Medium sweet, less bitter. Full bodied.

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een troebel oranje geel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van hop en caramel. De smaak is moutig, licht zoet en hop bitter.

Bottle, bought directly from the brewery last weekend. ABV 9% according to the label. Color: Hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Yeasty, fruity esters (citrus, stone fruit), malty. Taste: Malty, yeasty, candy sugar without being too sweet. Fruity esters. Herbal hints. Long lasting finish. Medium body, average carbonation. Not that special.

Draft at Mommeriete. Color: Black, brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, subtle smoke. Taste: Smooth, bit creamy mouthfeel. Earthy, dark roasted malt, molasses, some sweetness, subtle smoke. Just over medium body, below average carbonation. Moderate floral hopbitterness. Over moderate sweet. Nice one.

Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of malts, fruits, yeast, hops, some spices. Nice and hoppy heller bock.

Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, dark fruits such as cherry and other fruits. Flavlour is dark fruity sweetness, medium to heavy, but not out of balance or excessive. Slightly dry aftertaste. Nice quad, surprisingly easy to drink for a 10% beer.

Aroma of malts, citrus fruits, orange peel, yeast, spices such as coriander. Flavour is fruity sweetness, spices, with a dry finish. Enjoyable Tripel from a sympathetic brewery.

Aroma of malts, citrus fruits, yeast, spices, hops. Flavour is similar, light fruity sweetness with some welcome bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice and fruity accessible Blond.

Aroma of roasted malts, dark ripe fruits, nuts, smoked ham. Flavour is roasty, dark fruit sweetness, smoked. Nice one.
