Dark jet black coal color with a dense beige head. Good intensity in the aroma. Lots of oak. Medium body and a fine carbonation level. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Oak o hoi also in the flavor. Also some toffee and raost. This beer is way to thin to balance that powerful oak flavor. Need 5 or 6% more.

Maldon Beer Fest, Cask. Opaque black - brown beer, residual tan head. Silky palate, slightly viscous. Soft rich dark malts, some dark chocolate underneath kept company by touches of treacle and molasses. Spice. Tangy smooth dark fruits. Smooth dark malt cream. Smooth finish. Pretty drinkable for the abv.

A quite warming and decent mead.
Clear deep golden color with almost no head. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a soft mellow carbonation level. Decent mellow sweetness, well it got a bit cloying when it got warmer. Fruit, malt and honey dominates the flavor.

Something has probably went horrible wrong here. I do not think the high amount of vinegar was intended. Made it more or less undrinkable. So this rating do probably not have any high value for anyone. Forgot to write batch number from the bottle. But it is written vanilla below 100½ at the label. Special edition?
Black color with a beige head. Nice lacing. Looks good. Fine intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a soft carbonation level. To much vinegar, roast and coffee in the flavor.

Nottingham Yeast ruined it for me. Too sweet. Nice hop profile which does not compliment that yeast strain. Solid otherwise.

500ml bottle bought at Hop Beer Shop in Chelmsford. Remaining snow white head. Next to clear golden coloured body. Spotty lacing. Mild dry fruity nose, pale malts beneath. Dry hopped fruity flavours followed by a rounded bitter ending. Clean mouth feel. Decent thirst quencher. (Shared with Finn and djoeye, Tromsø 23.03.2017).
