Bottle shared at the Chris & Ruth pre GBBF shindig tasting 2016 - London. Cheers! Pours deep brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds milk chocolate, light roast. Medium sweet flavour with notes of ash, tobacco, dried berries. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation. Sweet finish with more ashy roast, some char, burnt tobacco. Good stuff.

500ml bottle at Ale House, Chelmsford, kindly shared by Cunningham. Filmy layer leaving spotty lacing down the glass. Coal black in body colour. Mid-sweet oaky nose, some impact of chocolate. Oak up front to the flavour profile joined by chocolate and caramel nose. Nicely roasted finish. Medium bodied. Likable, just a bit too much oak. (17.02.2017).
