473ml can. Jet black colour with minimally late awakening, small to average, thick, creamy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, tan head. Minimally sweet-ish, bready-roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of toasted dark bread, pumpernickel, a touch of treacle, some coffee, whiffs of cocoa, roasted coffee beans. Taste is slightly dry, minimally sweet, roasty, slightly bready, dark malty, notes of toasted dark bread, pumpernickel, a touch of treacle, some coffee and cocoa, roasted coffee beans, very cautious, rudimentary fruity hints of blueberry and plum butter . Oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft, cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Relatively simple and monotonous, somehow more bready than coffee-ish; would probably sell well as simple Flavoured Stout at a slightly lower abv level without loss of flavours, but ranks just as an also-ran in the super league of Pastry Impy Stouts - not much more than a nominal member in that case.
