GBBF Day 1. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, small white head. Smooth light palate, decent fine carbonation. Nice hit of lemon and earl grey. Liptons lemon tea. Semi dry finish. Very drinkable. Would be even better on keykeg.

Fra cask på GBBF aug-19: brunsvart med kort skum. Kaffe, kakao, lactose, lakris, lær og milde urter. Mye smak i en relativt lett øl.

8/8/2019. Cask at the 2019 Great British Beer Festival. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly tan coloured head. Aroma of sweet malt, light roasting, lactose, dark fruit and toffee. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Moderate body, slight creamy texture, soft carbonation. Nice one.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Kris Wines. Pours clear gold, effervescent, with a stiff, frothy white head. Nice aroma, some dry smoke, wheat bread, a hint of citrus. Light to medium sweet flavour with smoked wheat, beechwood, ripe lemon, hay. Light bodied with really lively carbonation. Pleasant finish, some wheat biscuits, restrained smokey notes, bready sugars, very subtle lemony accents. Overall, really nice stuff.

Bottle at Hawksmoor restaurant, London. Pours slightly hazy amber orange with a small off-white head. Aroma of tropical and citrus fruit, hop, grass and straw, and slightly salty. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Dry, bitter finish.

Bottle at Hawksmoor restaurant, London. Pours slightly hazy pale amber with a small lasting white head. Aroma of caramel, hop, malt, citrus and fruit bitters. Light sweetness, heavy bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation with a tingling mouthfeel. Finish is bitter, overall level of bitterness being abi e average and working well. Decent brew.
