Bottle shared in London - cheers to Danny. Pours pale gold with a creamy white head. Lightly oxidized, lots of crackery pale malts, cereal, lemon rind. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more cereal, biscuits, straw. Fine.

Can from Aldi. It pours hazy yellow with a decent white head. The aroma is fragrant, tangy lemony citrus, yuzu, lemonade, coriander, lemongrass, straw, wheat and spice. The taste is crisp, dry, warming spice, peppery, bitter lemon peel, yuzu, touch of alcohol warmth, floral, herbal, soapiness, touch of green veg and wheat crackers with a spicy finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Quite a lot of flavours clashing together here. Also comes across rather soapy. Fun idea, which would perhaps be better with a whisky like they suggest, but on its own is muddled.

At a tasting, medium bubbly head, clear quite dark red color, aroma of raisins, dyacetil and burned notes and candy hint, nutty dried fruit flavor with a hint of honey, a bit of dried apples in the aftertaste. Not too great although drinkable.
