Der Doppelbock beschreibt das Bier bereits ziemlich gut, malzig. herb, dumpf, metallern, etwas muffig. Dabei schmeckt das Bier zu keiner Zeit irgendwie besonders und ist sehr austauschbar. Test vom 11.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,7,6,5,12,6 - 6,40

A little darker than a regular Pilsener this slightly stronger version has a strong full taste. It’s a bit low on the hops compared to the malt but offers enough flavour overall to make it interesting. There’s an aftertaste which is both metallic and a little grassy.

Bottle. (50cl corked stoneware look.) Hazy, golden-orange body and a huge, lasting white head leaving nice lacings. Fruity, banana and some citrus, nose with coriander and a hint of some other spicyness, as well as a little alcohol. Lightly sweet flavor with fruits, mostly banana, and spices. Full, sweet, warming mouthfeel. The finish is long and sweet, with some bitterness and spicyness. A decent tripel from Arcense, I could easily down more of this one. (070708)

Bottled (thanks brunnsbe!). Amber colour, mediumsized creamy beige head, which lasts for quite a while. Aroma is sweet caramel malts along with slight alcohol and yeast. Flavour is sweet caramel malts, some alcoholic sweetness and big sourness and yeastyness finishing it off. A pleasantly made thing, though not very special.

Dark red-brown colour, thin fading beige head. Aroma is of dried fruits and caramel. Quite a thin mouthfeel but certainly a rich full flavour. Sweet floral flavours dominate and there’s a little aniseed in there too. A very clean aftertaste considering the high level of alcohol.

Light golden colour. White head, disappearing quickly. Sweet aroma, not strong. Fruity flavors, no bitterness. Nice aftertaste, a bit watery One of the best Dutch Pilseners among widely available pilseners.

Nice red-brown colour. Aroma is sweet and malty. Slightly bitter-sweet flavour with some malt. Very rich flavour makes it not a very sessionable beer but it’s nice as a one-off.
