Nitro at Craft Room Sathorn, Bangkok. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, sweet milk chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet with a silky smooth, rich, creamy, oily, roasty, sweet chocolate, lactose palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Milk chocolate in a glass.

Tap at Dog Step, Bangkok. Poured a hazy yellow straw colour with a lasting frothy white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is big wheat, biscuit, big citrus fruit, light floral hop. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a smooth rich malty, fruit, light dry pepper spice, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Tap at Baan Bangkok. Poured a hazy yellow straw colour with a bubbly white head and lots of carbonation. The aroma is toffee vanilla. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a fresh, crisp, sweet fruity, light fake sugar, toffee palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. I’m no fan of the battery acid, but this was one of the nicest ciders I ever had. Sweet but not too sweet and that toffee vanilla makes this cider so desirable. If all ciders tasted like this I could be turned!

Tap at Let the Girl Kill, Bangkok. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber with a frothy, short-lived white head. The aroma is grainy malt, toffee, yeasty barnyard. The flavour is yeasty bitter with a smooth dry grainy, citrus fruit, light dry pepper spice hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. This really is very good. Pushing the boundaries again I guess. A fine session beer if you can take the ABV.

Tap at the Fat Cow, Lat Phrao, Bangkok. Poured a clear reddish copper colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is subtle cherry. The flavour is moderate to light sweet with a crisp, fresh light tart cherry fruit palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. As far as ciders go this was actually quite good. It’s not too sweet and the cherry tartness keeps it in check. A cider you could actually drink all night long.
