Bottle. A hazy, orange-golden beer with a small, off-white head. Citrusy, caramel-malty nose with a hoppy touch. A slight sourness too maybe. At least the flavor is a bit sourish, with fine resiny hops, some citrus and sweetness covering most of it. Medium, quite fizzy mouthfeel. Decently bitter finish. Not my favorite Virklund beer, but a quite decent one. (090430)

Bottle 50cl. @ home.Unclear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, light to moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light light heavy shell bitter with a average to long duration, and a peppery finish. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. The beer is not complet and balanced. [20090326]

50cl bottle @ VinensVerden, Odense. Pours unclear brown with a fluffy white head. Smokey and whisky notes. Very heavy and one dimensional. Medium to smooth, yet quite thin palate. Low carbonation. Vegetables and peat smoke. Not a favorite combination.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of henrikb. Pours a hazy orangey brown with a lively, dense beige head. Distinct aroma of peaty smoke and tar. Medium body, hard roasted malts and dried fruit with an ashy edge. Distinct notes of peaty smoke and Islay whisky. Has a dry bitterness. Quite interesting. 200409

Brown. A deep red beer with a huge fluffy and collapsing brown head -infected? The aroma sweet with strong notes of whiskey as wel as notes of smoke, alcohol, and vanilla. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of wood and whiskey as well as notes of alcohol that leaves a burn on the tongue and palate, and notes of roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted bitter whiskey finish.
