Bottle, courtesy of noize. Hazy orange colour, off-white head, and some yeast floaters. Nose is alcoholic, spicy, malty, yeasty, bit of fruits. Flavour is malty, spicy, a bit alcoholic, bit of caramel. Medium carbonation. Finish is slightly dry and fairly bitter.

Bottle, thanks Noize for sharing. Hazy amber colour, off-white head. Nose is malty, caramel, candied sugar, earthy. Flavour is malty, lots of caramel, light fruity, bit bready. Medium carbonation. Fairly sweet. Finish is very, almost sickly, sweet. Half-decent.

Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, winter 2017 edition, drank side by side with the regular version. Slight hazy amber to copper color, medium frothy head. Next to the caramel and raisin, subtle spicy and dry woody hint of oak. Flavor is a bit more dry, but adds a slight hint of vanilla and oak. Nice subtle 'houtrijping', Im guessing oak chips, but it works wonderfully well with the good base beer. Great balance, superb brew. The Muifelman knows his shit

(Draught at Café Briljant, Haarlem, 27 Feb 2014) Dark reddish brown colour with dense, beige head. Malty nose with dried fruit, caramel, chocolate, oak wood, roasted malt and a touch of leather. Malty taste with notes of roasted malt, oak wood, chocolate, caramel, cold coffee, toffee and a gentle, spicy bitterness in the finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Rounded and well balanced. Quite tasty. Nice one.

Draft at De Paas. Pours hazy brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of caramel, overripe dark fruit, prunes, oak. Flavour is over moderate sweet and bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Very nice.

flesje gescoord tijdens @Lentebierfestival 2014 Leeuwarden, caramelbruin met kaki/gelige volle kraag. aroma is die van een volle zoetigheid met vanille en mouten smaken zijn glad/romig maar niet echt dik. zeer stevig alcoholisch, redelijk zoet, stevig moutig, vanille, donker fruit, hout, zachte caramel. matige body, iets aan de te dunne kant voor zo’n bier, afdronk is alcoholisch
