Description
Muifelbrouwerij is located in The Netherlands in Oss, Noord-Brabant. Our mission is to develop, produce and sell tasty and unique craft beers. We started in 2007 and we are extremely proud on our brewery and our craft beers. In our head-quarters at the Vikingenweg in Oss we have a tasting room, our warehouse and since January 2019 our own brewhouse, fermentation tanks and filling line.

The name Muifelbrouwerij might need some explanation. Muifel is a non-existing word and is derived from Megen and duivel. Megen is a small city in The Netherlands where the brewery started on small scale (20 liter brews) for private consumption. Duivel is Dutch for Devil. Muifel was the name of one of the beers from the early days, inspired by the famous Belgian Duvel beer.

0.33l bottle from trade with Countbeer shared with Inbreak @ Hotel Room in Leiden. Wants out if the bottle! Almost a little gusher that the hotel room table had to pay the price of. It has a massive really fluffy, good looking and everlasting white foamy top that leaving some extreme lacings down the glass. The beer itself is nicely orange honey colored and cloudy in the glass. The nose has elements of yeast, honey, birch, a little fruity eastery almost banana sweetness and some green apples. Smells quite nice. It has a mild oily mouthfeel to it and a gentle average carbonation level. A good sweetness in the taste also the warming alcohol comes creeping in the aftertaste and swallow. There is a good yeasty profile here, and I get traces of almost peppery arugula and green pepper corn that has been soaked in booze and honey sweetness. Quite good IMO. Thanks for the bottle Kamiel! 28.09.2013

33 cl bottle @ home. Clear golden color. Big white head with good retention & lacing. Aroma’s: sweet fruit, sweet herbs, candy sugar. Retronasal there’s additional grain/malt, some fruit and herbal hops. Flavor is moderate bitter with hints of sweet fruit. Medium bodied. Finishes slightly dry, moderate bitter. OK beer, but hardly an IPA, and certainly not a USA IPA.

28.09.2013, 0,33l bottle shared with Palme @ hotel in Leiden:
Came right out of the bottle. Big creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly fruity, light malts, yeast, flowers, citrus, hay, leafs, citrus peel. Taste is slightly dry fruity, light malts, yeast, hay, flowers, dough, herbs, wet grain, weeds. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Fair enough, a bit too much yeastieness.

On tap at In De Wildeman. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has lots of grassy hops with a bit of resin and an earthy grain backing. Flavor also has lots of grass with a strong earthy grain note and a hint of resin and tropical fruit in the finish.

Amsterdam. Bottle in my hotel room. Lightly hazy gold beer, big off white head. Nice light fruity hop nose. Light airy palate with minerally crispness. Very light sweet malt base supports decent light hops. Floral citrus - mellow orange, grapefruit with lesser tropical fruits. Touch of brett. Light crisp airy finish.
