Description
Muifelbrouwerij is located in The Netherlands in Oss, Noord-Brabant. Our mission is to develop, produce and sell tasty and unique craft beers. We started in 2007 and we are extremely proud on our brewery and our craft beers. In our head-quarters at the Vikingenweg in Oss we have a tasting room, our warehouse and since January 2019 our own brewhouse, fermentation tanks and filling line.
The name Muifelbrouwerij might need some explanation. Muifel is a non-existing word and is derived from Megen and duivel. Megen is a small city in The Netherlands where the brewery started on small scale (20 liter brews) for private consumption. Duivel is Dutch for Devil. Muifel was the name of one of the beers from the early days, inspired by the famous Belgian Duvel beer.

On tap at In de Wildeman. Clear golden amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, some citrus hops, hint of pine, a bit artificial. Flavour is also caramel, citrus hops, some pine, sticky, artificial, light-bitter and a bit soapy finish. Light-bodied. Didn’t enjoy this much. 536311 Re-rate: 33cl Bottle, tfs Marc! Hazy deep golden colour, off-white head. Aroma is quite floral, soft citrus, lemon drops, some sweetness, smells nice. Flavour is a bit bland, light malty, caramel, citrus, flowers, decent bitterness. Light-bodied. Decent. 836313

Bottled, BB somewhere in 2022, large sample. Clear amber color with big chunks of debris, short lasting off-white head. Quite peaty aroma, smoke, some iodine, caramel and amber malt. It’s not as intense peat as I would have expected. Malt base underneath the beer seems a bit boring. In taste it’s a bit fruity, slight smoked, bit dry. High alcohols, esters and fusels come up. Like the bottle says, like a blend between whiskey and beer. Well, I’m not a whisky lover, so can’t judge on the quality that much. The peat I can easily handle, I just think the beer is a bit thin and has a bit too much alcohol.

Purchased this from a shop in Middelburg, Netherlands, Tuesday 1st October 2013 consumed sat outside ’Frank’ (camper) at De Vlaschard campsite, Middelburg, Netherlands, Wednesday 2nd October 2013 Mid gold with white head, not as hoppy as the beer I’ve just had but it is hoppy and it is pleasant. A little zippy hop bite drying and bitter. Soft in mouth the initial sweetness soon subsides, fruit with a nice bite, seems to get hoppier as we get through it. Good beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.7

Thx! for the sample to Martinus & Countbeer. 33 cl. bottle sampled @ Borefts 2013. Murky orange with a white head. Nose is yoghurt & white bread yeast, lactic but not really in an infected way, thick spices. Taste is sweet white bread, white sugar, yoghurt & same lactic yeast, yeast everywhere, malts, more sweetness, banana porridge & some slightly bitter spices in the back. Big, big yeast body. This doesn’t seem right.

Bottle thanks to Douberd and the European Local Swap II. Dark amber colour with a nice off-white head with small bubbles, nice lacing and good duration. Aroma is smoky, malty, caramel and peat. Flavor is strong smoky and alcoholic, caramel, notes of peat, whisky and wood. The final has a decent bitterness and alcoholic.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a cloudy medium amber with no head at all. The aroma is weak yeast leading to a weak bitter flavour with some zesty sweetness on the palate.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malty with a little fruit. The flavour is medium bitter, with a little resin on the palate. The finish had a rather unpleasant bitterness.
