About
Independent brewery 1856-1987. Then owned by Nora/Ringnes/Orkla. Owned by Carlsberg from 2004. The new craft brewery "E.C.Dahls Bryggeri" opened August 4th 2016. In 2019, The Carlsberg Group has signed an agreement to sell the property of its brewery site in Trondheim, Norway. Not included in the deal is the brewery E.C. Dahls which remains part of the Carlsberg Group, formally owned by Feldschlösschen which in turn is owned by Carlsberg.

Keg at Nya Carnegiebryggeriet, Stockholm. Clear deep amber, rich firm head. Caramelly grapefruit aroma. Sweet with medium-full body and clean mouthfeel. Fruity and caramelly, some pink grapefruit. Mid bitter finish. Somewhat sterile.

Flaske 330ml fra Eide Handel. Aprikosfarget. Uklar. Lavt kritthvitt skum. Litt lacing. Plommearoma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken søt frukt. Balansert. Litt tørr avslutning. Bra!

Bottle at KØ17. Spicy and cellary aroma. Smells old. Hazy golden colour. The flavour is vinous, caramelly and fairly malty. Tastes old but nice enough.

Bottle 750ml. @ [ DØE - Ølfestival København 2017 ] @ Lokomotivværkstedet, Otto Busses Vej 5A, 2450 Copenhagen SV, Denmark. [ As Dahls Store Bjørn Juleøl ].Unclear - hazy medium orange colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, cookie, caramel, some yeast - spice. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, cookie, bread, yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170518] 5-3-5-3-10

Bottle. KØ. Frothy white fair mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy and light yeasty aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Few fruity esters. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

0.33l bottle. This one pours a cloudy golden orange colored body with a medium sized white bubbly off-white head on the top. Lots of dots down the sides of the glass. It smells nice and mild. Orangey citrussy, a little bit of yeast. Apples. Softly hoped and a little paper in the back. Absolutely noseable. It has a thin oily, near watery texture in the mouth and it's just below average on the carbonation. Thin hoppy flavors. It's well balanced, super lightdrinkable. A little malty sweetness here also. Soft floral tones. It's a nice tasting session IPA. I'm sure you could do worse but I normally prefer something with a little more bite. 16.05.2017

0.33l bottle. This is a near clear golden colored one, a medium sized of fading off-white head on the top top. On the nose it's nice and saison spicy. A little orange peely, citrus almost. Saison yeast, white sugary, traces of canned pear. Smells surprisingly nice. It has a really thin and watery texture in the mouth, just below average on the carbonation.. Nice and quite clean in the taste. Hints of banana, pear. Fruits - the canned type. A little peel. Lots of pepper in the finish. Yeah, really lightdrinkable, a tad watery though. 16.05.2017
