Draft 13 oz pour enjoyed at Hop and Hound. Dense cola brown pour, active tan fizz head. Life lately calls for a big stout like this one. Hoping for a ton of the advertised vanilla, and it delivers. Lots of oak, vanilla, and smooth bourbon. Classic combo and done very well. Easy drinking double digit stout here. Lingering vanilla and dark chocolate notes pair wonderfully with the bourbon. Excellent brew.

500 ml bottle, wax dipped. Pours a dark pitch black hue with a small beige head. A big woody dark fruit nose. Big sticky sweet barrel, some toffee, dark fruit, really smooth, licorice, brown sugar. Very good.

500 ml bottle. Pours a mahogany color with moderate head. Aromas of dry malts, light caramel, muddled fruit and a bit of grass. Flavors of dull sweet fruit, lots of caramel malts and more dry grass. Can't get an barrel. More of an English barley wine IMO.

Draught at Elizabeth Station, Bellingham, WA
Dark brown colour, near black. Strong bourbon aroma. Medium body, not much sweetness, and most of all not much depth, it has a touch of earthy coffee and quite some strong bourbon character.
Not balanced or rich, but still ok.

On tap at Wander, pours a hazy pinkish red with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of tart pomegranate upfront, with a hint of lactose, and subdued citrus hops. Flavour blends the disparate elements really well, with lots of pomegranate, lactose, and some citrus hops. Really nice stuff.
