On tap at the source. A creamy, just off-white head that leaves good lace covers the mostly clear red to amber body. Aromas are fruity, estery, caramel, light nutty notes, some hop aromas of pine and citrus. Flavors are bitter, fruity, dry and a bit papery. Assertively bitter, light hops and esters. Lively bubbles and a dry mouthfeel.

On tap at the source. Pours with a clear bronze to copper colored body with a small off-white head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, light diacetyl, fruity and a bit of a papery note. Flavors of pear and other fruit esters, paper, grainy, and caramel. Medium to light bitterness, with very little hop flavor. Medium dry finish. The papery note (which I normally associate with hot side aeration or poor malt quality) detracts from the beer.

On tap at the source. Pours with good clarity and a light orange hue. A large, fluffy egg-shell colored head sits atop. Aromas are floral, spicy, some tropical fruit hop aromas. Very nice floral aromatics with minimal grainy notes. Some light esters, but pretty clean overall. Flavors of tropical fruit and floral hops with minimal bitterness (a big late addition). Malt flavor comes across as a bit papery (which turns out to be a reoccuring theme in their beers on this visit). Dry and a bit grainy. Short duration, clean fermentation. Medium bubbles, light body, mostly dry. Odd papery flavor (hot side aeration or malt quality issue?) detracts.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a completely clear golden to copper hued body with a small, just off-white head that leaves good lacing behind. Aromas are of oranges, citrusy, alcohol, light pine and some malt sweetness. Flavors are dry, grainy, a bit of a thin malt flavor, with light caramel and an assertive bitterness. Hop flavors are floral, citrus, orange and light pine. Could be more assertive in hop flavor (or freshness might be a factor). Some astringencies. Medium bubbles, body and dryness.

On tap at the Jupiter brewpub some years ago. Decent dark brown colour, again no head as they want to fill the glass up and not be seen to "rip off" customers with lousy head! Yeah, that’s all head is, a ripoff.... pft, Americans. But anyways, there was plenty of malt on the tongue and not enough aroma as it was chilled too extensively. Another simple brew that lacks complexity, but goes well with pizza. Well, what can I say - Try Jupiter’s pizza.

On tap at the Jupiter brewpub some years ago. This was an okay hefeweizen with little head and reliable American-style hefeweizen taste: meaning that you can expect the lemon and wheat-beer grains, but no complexity or anything above the average. Alas.
