Draft. Nitro. Dark brown-black beer with a beige nitro head. Roasty aroma with light chocolate. Chocolate, roast, light oatmeal(?) flavor. Slightly lighter bodied. Lingering coffee/roast with chocolate - not strong flavors, but they’re there. Medium body. Easy to drink.

Draft at the brewpub. Aroma of grapefruit hop. Brilliant amber color (with a slight red tinge like the ESB). Nice white head that laced lightly. Medium body with fairly strong carbonation. Nice grapefruit flavor backed with caramel malt. Average or better for the style. The finish is dry and nicely hoppy. After all it’s a good drink.

Draft at the brewpub. Aroma of floral hop. Brilliant amber color (with tinge of red). A bit thin bodied and the carbonation is rather strong. Caramel malt, hint of sour and a balance of hop. A bit tart or harsh. But it looked beautiful.

Draft. Amber-mahogony color with a nice off-white head. Pine citrus aroma. Thick, rich piney hop flavor with enough citrus buzzing to linger on. Sweet malt backing. Very nice. A typical double IPA, but well done.

Brown ale with a malty aroma and some hops and citrus. Overly bitter but not balanced. Good bodied, but would need more malts. (June 2004).
