Cask at the Anchor, Digbeth, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is light earthy malt. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light smoky, plastic like, aromatic, metallic palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. There is lots going on for sure but I’m not sure I like what’s happening!

Cask at the Lamp Tavern, Birmingham on 28th December 2013. Dark copper with off-white lacing foam. Rich malty aroma. Bittersweet in-mouth with strong maltiness and leafy herb notes. Herbiness first to leave in finish which concludes both malty and bitter. Light mouthfeel and fair amount of body. Well-crafted mild.
