Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours Lightly hazy dark orangey - amber with a decent frothy yellow - beige head. The aroma is sweet, candied fruits, orange marmalade white bread sandwiches, tinned peach, earth and wood. The taste is dry, lingering bitterness, floral, pot pourri, wet grass, peppery spice, resin, pithy, zesty orange citrus, slightly soapy, leafy and wood with a drying finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Has a really old skool British ale vibe to it. Nice level of bitterness works.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours lightly hazy copper with a small white cap. The aroma is bready malts, biscuit, earthy, zingy citrus, lemon poppy seed muffin, lemonade and candied peel. The taste is crisp, dry, pleasantly bitter, pithy, zesty, plenty of bright citrus, lemon sherbets, orangeade, lime, green, pine, biscuit, peppery spice and just a touch of alcohol with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. I think this works well. Not much breweries bashing out IPLs at the moment. One the best beers I've had from Burnside in some time

500ml from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear copper with a medium, fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, oily, pine, resin, spice, orchard fruits and brown bread. The taste is dry, bitter, quite spicy upfront, woody, resin, pine, earth, chewy, pithy citrus, grapefruit mostly and slightly soapy character with a lingering dry, woody finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. More of a British IPA than American tbh. A bit chewy, but the bitterness carries it. Not bad.

Bottle from Strong Water. Black body with a beige head. Patchy lacing. Aroma of plum and dark chocolate. Flavour of roasted malt and liquorice. Thin to medium body with slick texture. Soft fizz. Rich and fruity. It’s a bit thin but the flavour is bold and rich.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours lightly hazy blonde with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh and bright, has a green hop character, floral, tropical fruits, citrus peel, grain, biscuit and floury bread. The taste is firmly dry, some green bitterness, has a certain rawness to it, floury, chalky, grain, cereal, bread, biscuit and subdued fruitiness in the backdrop. Bitter linger in the finish. Lighter end of medium body and moderate carbonation. Aroma is quite nice, bu there is a rawness about the taste, Not bad.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear amber with a thick foamy white head. The aroma is spicy, herbal, nutty, cardboard, rubber, earth, cereal and wood. The taste is crisp, dry, metallic aspect from the very high carbonation, orange peel, earthy, spicy, wood, cereal and nuttiness with a drying finish. Average body and crazy high, foamy carbonation. Yeah it's not great.... That crazy high carbonation dominates...
