On tap at Håndverksølfestivalen. A lightly foggy pale orange colored beer with a finger-thick white head. The aroma is quite perfumed and flowery, with yeast, a quite generic fruityness and some pale malts. It's medium bodied and acidic on the palate, decently carbonated, with a mostly fruity flavor. Like in the aroma, it's perfumed and flowery too, with some doughy malts as a backdrop. Some watermelon flavor in the finish. Nothing particularly interesting going on here. 190806

Slightly unclear amber body under a small beige head. Aroma has malt, bread, dry fruit, spices – anise and alcohol. Taste has sweet malt, dry fruit, anise, and alcohol. Fine body and same aftertaste. It’s OK, but pretty one-dimensional and a tad boozy.

Bottle, 75cl corked. It's an unclear one, brown in color, with a small beige head. The aroma has a touch of chocolate and cocoa, with lots of dark dried fruits, some caramel and a hint of alcohol. It's full-bodied, warming and softly carbonated, with a touch of bitterness. Roasted malts, toffee, generic dark dried fruits. Chocolate and some alcohol too, even a hint of oxidation. Lasting finish. A decent one indeed, but lacking a bit on complexity. 210613

500 ml bottle, batch #100314, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 11%. Nearly black colour, moderate to small beige head. Strong aroma of Christmas spices, not perfectly balanced, too much anise. Smooth mouthfeel. The flavour is medium sweet, again with strong notes of Christmas spices, and again: too much anise, otherwise the flavour balance is okay. Good malt body, plenty of caramel and brown kandij sugar. Slightly warming throatfeel.

No fancy pancy stuff. Plain easy mild brown. But it felt a bit to thin and the carbonation level was way to high. Clear nutty pour with a fine head.
