Appearance: Clear amber color with a frothy white head. Good lacing.
Aroma: Deep malty, light fruity and mild hoppy.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate sweet and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: A fine malty background, mild hoppy, some roasted malt and mild fruity.
Overall impression: Tasty bitter.

Bottle, shared at Bruce’s. It pours golden with a small white head. The nose is herbal, light spice, earth, wheat, honey, toast and light dough. The taste is caramel, honey, earth, caramel, light alcohol, icing sugar, toast, hay, faint pithy citrus and herbal notes with a sweetish finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Hides abv pretty well. Smooth, well rounded. Not bad.

’Paul takes a brown shower’ tasting at Bruce’s pad. And thanks to Paul for this one. Light haze on this gold beer, tiny white head. Has the nose of a Belgian golden. Smooth palate, dry with fine carbonation. The Belgian Gold feel carries on with some spice in the strong pale malt. Trace of citrus. Semi dry finish with a trace of citrus.

Bottle at Bruce’s, London - big thanks to Paul for this exceptional beer. Pours clear, bright gold with a fine, creamy head. Nose has some bread, dough, hints of wheat, coriander. Medium sweet flavor, lots of white bread, some citrus rind, hay. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, mild dry white bread, hay, some orange and lemon. Very tasty. Drinks well for the ABV. I like it.

Pours golden with a decent head. Nose of lemon zest and getting into grapefruit and hay. Taste of lemon zest some pine and cornflakes. Palate light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a dry refreshing finish. Overall I wasn’t so sure but this grew as it went down.

500ml bottle picked up at The MicroBar and shared with Finn at our hotel room. Firm white head that laces well. Cloudy copper coloured body. Smell of grassy hops and pale malts. Restrained fruity taste with hints of caramel sweetness. Lightly dry bitter end. Soft in the mouth. Just alright (Manchester, 26.01.2013).
