Description
The Ayr Brewing Company brewed it's first ales in October 2009, and in a short space of time gained numerous awards at both local and national level. As a 5 Barrel Micro Brewery we are currently producing around 60 casks of ale a week and supplying pubs throughout the UK. We are the first brewery in the area for over 80 years and operate out of The Glen Park Hotel, where you can enjoy a delicious meal and our ales on tap in the bar/restaurant.

500ml bottle from The MicroBar in Manchester. Golden-brown coloured body. Beige, patchy surface. Spotty lacing. Fruity hops to the nose alongside notes of toffee. Malt-fruity taste with leafs, caramel and a little bite of liquorice. Moderate bitter end. Fine version of the Brit bitter style (shared with Finn on the train from Manchester to York, 26.01.2013).

500ml bottle bought at The MicroBar in Manchester and shared with Finn. Close to clear amber coloured body. Decent head-lacing. Grassy hops to the nose joined by a bread-like touch. Blended taste of leafy hops, dried fruits and caramel sweetness. Rather sharp, but short-lived, bittering endnotes. Just alright (on the train from Manchester to York, 26.01.2013).

Bottle and cask. Dark brown body with ruby highlights and a beige head that holds well. Great lacing. Aroma of chocolate ice-cream, burnt toast, ash and raisins. Flavour of berries, chocolate, mild coffee and vanilla with a tangy finish. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. This is a wonderful Porter - rich and tangy.
