Nice pour with solid dark beige head and a jet black body. Aroma of roasted barley, simplistic. flavour is a sweet and strong stout, a good mix and decent on all levels though lacking complexity. Dry-ish finish. A good stout, probably Cay Brew’s best beer.

Slight aromatics of malt but there is minimal head and it’s a slight foggy brown, all rather typical. Flavour is a delight, a good mix of maltiness and sweet alcohol fusels to kick things into gear. Decent flavour but still rather simple. Not bad.

Not sure what the point of this brew is, though it’s a bit meatier with flavour over the regular cay brew. You might even call it a "darker" lager in comparison to the flagship brand. Certainly not great by any stretch but definitely slightly better.

Has a boring stinging hops aroma. Appearance is weak yellow with a modest head. Flavour is soft sweeter hops. Wet mouthfeel. It’s decent for a lightbeer but that really isn’t saying much.

Another boring lager with a swampy taste and aroma. Goes down easy but is hard to find redeeming qualities with it. Barely worth the effort to drink, realy.

12 ounce can shared by SHiG via Travlr at the DC Summer Saison & Sour Tasting, 7/12/14. Pours a clear amber color with a thin frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of caramel malt, mild cardboard and hops. The taste is toasted malt, raisin, a bit of cardboard. Medium bodied, high carbonation.

My brother brought this back from his honeymoon and was deadset on having me try this. Okay, let’s see how she goes.
The appearance was a light yellow/blonde color with a one finger white bubbly head that quickly dissipated. There was barely any lacing.
The smell was grainy and cereal - like sweet with some light corn.
The taste was once again mainly sweet but didn’t carry anything else.
On the palate, this one sat fairly light and came across pretty sessionable.
Overall, not a bad beer just not one to have on a regular basis.
