50cl bottle from Kjeller 5, Tromsø. Pours very dark brown, close to black, with a decent, beige head. Malty aroma with nice roasty notes, dark fruits and berries, hints of bread, licorice and caramel. Medium to moderate sweet with nice malty flavours and a balanced bitterness. Tasty, flavourful and fairly sessionable. Decent stuff! --- Beer merged from original tick of Trælen Stout on 03 May 2016 at 21:21 - Score: 7

Clear golden color with a lot of bubbles. Big thick white head. Nice lacing. A bit herbal aroma with a moderate intensity. Medium body and a to rich carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Malty, herbal and faint citric flavor. Easy drinkable and mild stuff.

(Bottled, 0.5 l - BBE 05.16, thanks Rune, 20160416) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had caramel, grass and grain. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, grain, sweetness, medical tastes and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A rather unpleasant brew.

500ml bottle bought at Kjeller 5. A lasting beige head with clingy lacing covering a clear amber-red coloured body. Hazy last pour. Nice aroma of herbal hops and brown malts, semi-dry. Taste of grassy hops and pine on a backbone of caramel malts. Dry bitter tail with a touch of pine needles. Medium to thin bodied. Soft in the mouth. Food friendly with the curry salmon. Like it (Tromsø 27.03.2016).
