Clear dark brown and subtle red color. Solid tan head that last and gives a fine lacing. Quite powerful and nice aroma. Solid body for a beer at 4,7%. A little bit high carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Complex flavor. Quite unusual and impressive stuff really. Maybe a bit to much smoked/peated malt for my likings. Pine, fruity and some stuff from the dark spelled forest. Not Nottingham Forest I suppose. But who knows.

Norwegian Brewery #131

Bottle 50cl. Black with a medium light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, rasin, dried fruit and coffee. Bitter taste with a good roasted end.

Flaske 500ml fra Coop Extra Bjerkaker. Gyldenbrun. Høyt luftig skum som daler sakte. Forsiktig krydderaroma. Smaken starter med en anelse krydder som raskt eksploderer og chilien overtar alt. Heftig. Smaksløkene blir delvis lammet - men absolutt drikkbar. Mangler variasjon.

500ml bottle picked up at Coop Extra Bjerkaker. Shared with Finn Arvid, Noisy and bubbly pearl white head slowly declining over a near-clear amber coloured body. Dotted spots on the glassware. Restrained aroma of ripe citrus and basement. Fresh taste of peach and orange with caramel malts beneath. Drying bitter endnotes. Soft in the mouth. Fine drinkability (Tromsø 28.01.2016).

Quite a pleasant surprise to find six different beers from Lauvanger Mikrobryggeri at Coop Extra Bjerkaker in Tromsø. This one, 500ml, as Holy Moses Aroma Ale, batch 002, pours a noisy off-white head reduced to a remaining layer. Misty pale amber body, red tinted. Fragile lacing. Modest smell of chocolate malts and dusty hops. Mixed taste of bread, brown malts and dried fruits followed by subdued fruity bitterness to the ending. Slightly watered palate. Accepted (at home, 15.01.2016).

Flaske 500ml fra Coop Extra Bjerkaker. Varm gyldengulbrun. Lett uklar. Middels høyt lett farget skum som daler sakte. Spotlacing. Lett fruktig aroma med spor av nøtter. Lite kullsyre. Smaken tørket frukt. Svakt syrlig etter hvert. Bra - men litt tynn. Kan nok fungere bra til mat.

500ml bottle, Christmas gift from djoeye, many thanks. Hazy amber coloured body. Off-white head reduced to a filmy layer. Dotted spots on the glass. Spiced brown malty nose. Caramel flavours with hints of smoked malt and dark spices. Malt-fruity ending. Medium to thin bodied. Satisfying (Tromsø 31.12.2015).

500ml bottle, thanks to djoeye. Shared with Finn and Skinnyviking. A stable dense, beige head over a rosewood coloured body. Spotty lacing. Rich taste of brown malts and pine. Well blended taste profile of red fruits, liquorice, brown malts and ash. Bitterness of pine to the ending. Soft in the mouth. Quite enjoying (at Finns place, Tromsø 07.12.2015).
