Cask. Gravity dispense. Barrow Hill jamboree. Brown. Barely a head. Nose has some roast malts, with a light, fruity tang. Can’t detect much hoppage. Taste is light bitter, that manages to feel a little burnt and acrid. Sweetens up toward the end. Not for me.

Cask at Rail Ale 2016, 20/05/16. Extremely dark mahogany brown topped with a decent beige swirl. Nose is light roast, baking powder, cocoa dust, bramble berries. Taste comprises sweet malts, faint pine tingle, light charring effect, pinch of spice, cocoa powder. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close with light hop bitterness. A little weak for the style in terms of hop presence but ticks the boxes and easy drinking.
