Bottle from Pivný raj Czech brewery no.80 Good, though not really remarkable, IPA. Bitterness stands on the lower part of medium, fruits are just average. Okay.

Tap at Pivovarský Klub. Murky dark amber body. Grainy aroma, with a very light phenolic touch. Mild taste with a slightly rough grainy component, slightly prickly carbonation, no well developed hop profile. Expected a lot more really. The "unfiltered" Budvar was actually far more drinkable than this, and this does not make for a recommendation. The recipe needs tweaking I reckon.

Tap, Harmonia, Kutná Hora. Hazy golden-yellow with a lasting white head. DMS in the aroma, obvious cooked corn on soft maltiness. Cooked corn in the taste, soft maltiness, ends dry. Light herbal hops. Meh. Okay but flawed. 45 32 45 23 1011

U Šumavy. Hazy golden body. Citric dry aroma, herbal and hoppy. Flowery, lemony soft taste, full maltiness, citric. Nice soft taste, overall not outstanding but a nice enough local try at the style, and I'm glad to have tried it!

On tap @ Caf� Harmonia, Kutn� Hora. Pours hazy yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is malts with biscuits and honey, as well herbal hops with grassy notes. Medium body, with soft to average carbonation. Flavour is zesty hops, as well as malts with biscuits.

Tap at the Prague Beer Museum. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is gluey malt, light hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry skunky malt, light floral woody hop bitter, light tart grapefruit palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

0,75 flaske fra Holmens importkoffert, direkte fra Praha, delt med skibsrederen mens vørteren koker: let uklar gylden med flott skum som varer. Nydelig aroma og enda bedre floral smak med honning, gress, urter og blomstereng om sommeren. Lekker bitterhet i avslutningen gjør den til en sann fornøyelse å helle over drøvelen. Tsjekkisk pilsner på sitt mest sjarmerende!

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 06.12.16. Almost clear orange. Off-white head and lacing. Wonderful aroma of Czech hops, pilsner malt, meadows, grass and honey. Similarly fine taste, with good bitterness. Just the way a pilsner should be!
