Can from the Lazy Dog Lightly hazy golden color. This has got to be the maltiest double IPA I’ve had in a long time. Not sure how old this can is but wow, where are the hops?

Bomber. Dark brown with a thin fizzy brown head. Good retention. Aroma of roasted malt, briny oysters, chocolate, cocoa, nuts. The taste is bitter roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and a salty finish. Thin bodied, mild lingering bitterness. Was expecting more sweet chocolate, would have provided a nice combo with the saltiness of the oysters.

Bottle from East Derry General Store. Aroma is dark, rich, roasted malts with chocolatey scent. Appearance is pitch black with 1/2 finger light-brown head after vigorous pour. Good retention. Taste is mix of medium malty sweet and coffee-like bitterness (which dominates second 1/2). Palate is full-bodied heavy creamy feel with mild carbonation and nice, long coffee-like bitter finish. Overall, this beer is great!
