Poured up on tap at the 2014 Papago Hopageddon event where it exhibits a clear copper body that has golden hues and supports an off white head. The aroma delivers resiny spicy dank hops as well as grapefruit and tangelo citrus hoppiness. Solid. The taste is sweet with pleasing notes of citrus to yummy spicy onion like dank hoppiness. Nice. It gets resiny with to hops to midway that ramps up the depth and interest. Into the finish a tasty balance is achieved between the resiny bitter hops and the sweetened soft citrus hop flavor. This just tastes great. Yum.

Poured up on tap at the 2015 edition of the AZ Strong Beer Festival where it exhibits a super black body that supports a nice looking mocha head of foam. The aroma starts off with big roasty notes that are lined with inviting chocolate maltiness that gives way to bourbony barrel notes and some oak at the end of the draw. The taste is similar where it has a thick body that slides across the palate with a slight silky sensation yet this is not sludgy or cloying. It brings in big dark roasted malts that are tempered by thick chocolate malts and then some bourbon barrel booziness to midway. In the background thereβs a pleasing sweet caramel note as well as a little bit of spicy oak. Delicious. This comes together wonderfully.
