Tap at the brewery. Pours deep brown with nose of chocolate malt. Tastes of roasted malt, chocolate, light oatmeal, some vanilla, and some pine. A touch more bitter than creamy. Not too sweet which I like. Could drink a bunch of this without feeling ill.

I was driving tonight so having beers like this was great while hanging with Dak and JPD. Light nose of florals and citrus. Tastes of citrus, dank hops, florals, light herbal notes. Crisp and refreshing.

Tap at Fate with JPD. Pours hazy light orange. Nose is citrus and light funk. Tastes of orange peel, lemony sourness, straw, pineapple. It’s dry on finish. A nice sour that is very drinkable.

Growler pours with a dark mahogany colored body that supports a tan head. The aroma offers up malts, dark roasted malts, a sliver of white chocolate and a dash of sweet molasses. The taste has pleasing deep dark roasted malts, chocolate tempered by malt sweetness and then a thin layer of molasses. The oatmeal adds only a modest degree of creaminess to the mouthfell. Nice roasty brew.

On tap at Fate. It pours with a crystal clear gold body that supports a nice bright white head. The aroma offers up spicy hops, a faint chili pepper note, some grainy malts and a nice sweet corn sensation. The taste is similar where there is an echo of the Hatch Chile Cream Ale with some faint peppery chili in there as well as grainy malts, a dash of biscuit and a pleasing hop forward spicy hoppiness. This has a load of flavor and plenty of meat for a little session beer.

Growler pours with a pale clear pink body that supports a white head. The aroma is pure dirty gritty fecal goat stable that hasn’t been cleaned since the Carter administration. It is also soft moldy yet pungent cheese, dirty feet and strawberry. The taste is similar where ribbons of strawberry and berry fruit tartness save you from a sea of musty dirty goat like feces. Wow. Odd train wreck of a beer here but fun as hell to try.

Pours up with a clear gold body that supports a near white head of foam. The moderate aroma offers up citrus and spicy and a bit grassy hop bitterness with resiny notes coming through on a bigger draw. The taste is nice and crisp with snappy grapefruit, orange peel and bits of spicy dank onion like hops that have a brief splash of flavor before it gets into a pleasing degree of bitterness. To midway the hops attain a nice resiny edge just as a thin stream of malt sweetness and faint slightly roasted maltiness shoulder their way to the surface. As I contemplate this crisp snappy refreshing brew I start to notice a bit more spicy dank earthy onion like hoppy goodness coming through and add additional depth and interest. Fist rate Pale here.

Pours with a deep mahogany body that has amber edges and supports a light tan head of foam. The aroma is pretty big with molasses, vanilla, maybe some maple syrup, toffee, graham cracker and chocolate. There are dark roasted malts that are well off in the background and pretty well covered up by all the sweetness. The taste starts with a sweet mix of vanilla, molasses and then malt sweetened chocolate goodness. To midway some dark roasted malts and toffee drizzled dark toasted bread peak out amid a sea of various slick sweetness. Yummy.

It pours with a clear copper body that has thick gold edges and supports a white head of foam. The aroma offers up firm notes of grapefruit, tangelo, malt sweetened dank spicy onions and some resiny pine hops. Nice! The taste starts with bitter to resiny hops where grapefruit and clementine citrus are mixed with malt sweetened tangelo. To midway resiny pine hops and dank spicy onion to shallot to garlic earthy hoppy goodness try to shoulder in among the bruising citrusy notes. This is a solid big beast of a largely citrusy hop IIPA. Deep, rich, balanced and heavy heavy on hops. Love it. So who makes the best big hoppy beer in AZ? This one is right there at the top. Well done.

Poured up at Flanny’s Arizona on Tap Festival with a crystal clear gold body that supports a tall nearly bright white head. The mild aroma offers up sweet sugary malts and then just a faint chili note. The taste is straight up bright, light, crisp, fresh chili pepper meat and initially only a moderate degree of chili pepper heat. The heat grows to midway and then evens out into the finish where faint malt sweetness and a creamed corn sensation struggle to be heard over the chili. This has delicious forward chili pepper goodness where there’s enough heat to deepen the experience but not burn everything it touches. If you’re interested in fresh chili pepper presented with little beer in the way then this is for you. Fun beer.
