Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head, hazy. Aroma is slightly sweet grassy, wet leafs, wet grass, wet hops, minerals, moss, hay, light malts, flowers, soil, strawberry jam. Taste is slightly dry grassy, weeds, hay, minerals, bark, soil, grass, old leafs, harsh hops, light malts, sawdust, sap. Medium bitterness, harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Boring.

Bottle. A hazy, orange colored beer with a small, dense off-white head. Grapefruity, piney aroma with a wee hint of pale malts. Some passionfruit hints. It's medium bodied, dry and nicely carbonated, with a good bitterness. Grapefruit, pine cones, passionfruit and some citrus zest in the flavor, with a light malty touch in the far back. Long, dry, bitter, grapefruity finish. A quenching and easy drinkable beer, but perhaps a bit one dimensional. 180329

Bottle. An unclear pale yellow colored beer with a small, dense, white head. The aroma is quite citrusy and piney, with a perfumed touch and a hint of yeast. Some pear notes and a touch of pale malts. It's medium bodied and quite dry on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. Pale malts in the back, with grapefruit, pine cones and a perfumed hint. Quite bitter for the styly, which suits the beer very well. Long bitter, grapefruity finish. 180239

Bottle from Gulating Stavanger. Clear amber body with a nice, lacing beige head. Very nice and strong citric fruity aroma with grapefruit and light caramel malt. Flavor has mild caramel malt, refreshing citric, grapefruit and pine with a hint of fruity yeast and decent bitterness. Fine balanced body for a grocery shop strength beer and actually well balanced all over with some malty backbone, tasty fruity hops and OK bitterness. No Christmas feeling here, but who cares – the nineties are gone anyway.

Bottled, from Gulating, Loddefjord. Clear deep golden, rich head. Hay and grapefruit up front. Mid dry with medium body and rounded, spritzy mouthfeel. Fruity and bready with hay, citrus and twist. Long bitter finish. Quite British.

Bottle. Unclear orange golden body with a small but fine lacing white head. Aroma has sour fruit, hint of tangerine, watermelon and minerals. Flavor is nice and refreshing with a rather complex fruity flavor from sour fruits, tangerine, watermelon, citric zest and hint of minerals. Medium body and nice, refreshing aftertaste. Slightly original and very tasty, refreshing BW.

Bottle. Pours a hazy brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel, grains, bread, heather and some spices. The flavour is similar and a little light with the addition of cocoa. A little dry ending. Has a slick mouth feel, light body and a light bitterness. A malty and okay ale.

0,33 flaske fra Gulating Stavanger, hjemme mens jeg lager middag på 2.juledag: brunsvart med med fint skum som varer. Behagelig, tørr og lett krydret aroma med mørkbrent kaffe og ristet brød i tillegg. Iflg etiketten er det brukt allehånde, kanel, kakao og muskatnøtt. Føler at det er en vellykket kombinasjon, og anvendt med nennsomhet. Resultatet er en tørr og fin porter til helårsbruk, selv om ettersmaken er svært kort. Krydderpreget blir mer fremtredende etter hvert som temperaturen i glasset stiger.

0,33 flaske fra Gulating Stavanger, hjemme på lille julaften: nesten helt klar gylden med fint skum. Meget syrligfrisk aroma og smak med mandariner, citronsukat, lime og barndommens bruspulver. Slank, delikat og svært forfriskende uten at plombene løsner.

Behagelig og balansert aroma med aske/røyk, røstet malt, noen mørkbrente kaffebøner og kanskje et hint av lakris. Desverre mindre av de samme i smaken, så til sammen utgjør det et minneverdig inntrykk. Tynn munnfølelse og avslutning. Decidedly underwhelming.
