Brown, small fast fading beige head.Sour acetic nose and palate.Smoky sweetness in mid.Mild, but lasting hop finish. Sour & smoky don’t mix. Another poor effort from a once decent brewery!

Bottle from Central City Liquor Store, Surrey
Dark brown color, almost black, with creamy steady head. Moderate aroma of cream and Bourbon, also very light sourness. Decent body strength; flavor of dark caramel, with light butter and Bourbon whiskey, very light peat and very light malt sourness; the final is dryer.
Drinkable but a bit messy.

650 ml bottle. Pours black with large dark tan head which subsides quickly to persistent light head with nice lacing. Aromas of dark chocolate powder. Flavors dark chocolate, coffee grounds, and burnt malts. Some hidden sweetness. A touch acidic but nonetheless quite tasty.

650mL bottle, pours a cola / chestnut brown with a small beige head. Aroma of scotch, slight wood barrels, toasted nuts and caramel sweetness. Flavour begins semi-sweet with caramel, shifting more towards toasted nuts, barely a trace of the barrels, very light peated malts, then ends with a slight astringency. Very light-bodied, especially for the style, missing some depth and viscosity that I'd prefer for a scotch ale. Another only decent one from Russell.

650 ml bottle. Pours a deep red/brown with light head. Earthy smoky aroma. Light peat smoke and full malt flavors. Someone mentioned a smoked ham taste - right on. Makes me hungry. OK beer with food.
