I agree, this is more of an IPA than an ESB, but they insist it is an ESB, so thats how I entered it. Sparkling amber, small beige head.Piney citrus hop nose.Citrus hop fore, light malt mid, long lasting medium hop bitterness in finish. Needs more malt backbone and less prickly carbonation for the style.

Decent clear ruby-amber body with an okay level of white head on top. Faint aroma of malts, but only faint. Decent drinkable malt taste, slightly dry and bready finish. Drinkable but unremarkable.

Nice black body, rather weak head. Vague and watery aroma of barley. Taste is a mix of coke, coffee, grass. Watery finish. This is a pretty poor porter.

Bottle. Pours a clarret color, brown head. Malt and berry aroma. Color-malt roast and a hint of milk chocolate on a otherwise not particulary chewy brew - I would put it in a brown ale category really. Not a bad one at that: Light blueberries and heatherlike hop balance. Sparly mouthfeel. Pleasant drink.

Bottle. Amber, Golden head. Light honeyish aroma. Medium to light body, lacks a bit chewyness. Nice crisp hops on a honeyish malt base. Pleasant.

Draught at Amberjack Tap House, Surrey, BC
Blond color. The aroma is not captivating, bland, pond water. On the flavor it’s a bit above the mainstream Lagers, with some crispness; quite dry; strong bitterness. Poor.

Hazy amber color, small head. The aroma is hoppy, earthy and a bit puckery. Light body, dry caramel flavor, with strong bitterness. Bitter Ale, but less interesting than on draught.

2010-03-28, draught at Memphis Blues BBQ, Vancouver, 6-4-7-4-13=34
Amber color; small creamy head. Mild hop aroma, lightly smokey. Caramel flavor, with a quite dry mouthfeel; good bitterness; maybe a bit metallic in the end. A pleasant introduction to IPAs.
