Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma seems melon. Flavor is sort of earthy melon; a little funky; a hint of strawberry. Very interesting and tasty. Finishes well towards dry and nicely, astringently bitter. Good change of pace.

[1/28/16] Draught at Almanac & Friends Sourfest at MaSo at Park Central Hotel in San Francisco. Clear orange. Aroma of lime. Tart flavor with lime, light bitterness. Medium-bodied.

Tap at Harry’s Hofbrau. Pours a hazy yellow with full white head. Moderate aroma of grapefruit and slight tropical. Slight residual malt and chewy yeast added nice mouthfeel. Moderate bittering. Alcohol was hidden well.

Tap at Sprengers. Huge tropical fruit nose, grapefruit, biscuits. Biscuity, honey malt flavor, big and a bit heavy. Full and silky body. Great fruit flavor from the hops.

Tap at Sprengers. Pastel yellow, cloudy, with lace. Creamy lime nose, lemon, wheat-like creaminess. Spicy lemony, sweet and creamy. Too much. Too sweet and too heavy on the additives.

On tap at Hog’s Apothecary. It pours a golden color with an off white head. The aroma is strong with honey, florals and some stone fruit. Pretty strong maltiness in the background. The flavor is thick and rather malty with strong floral, piney and lightly fruity hops. Full bodied with strong floral/piney bitter finish. Well made, but a bit too thick and malty for my tastes.

On tap at Hog’s Apothecary. It pours a golden yellow color with a white head. The aroma is potent with citrus fruit. Grapefruit, lime and orange. The flavor is a bit more balanced with bread, wheat and lightly spicy yeast but still very citrus forward. Mostly mildly tart oranges. Not sour. The finish has some wheat and orange. Nice oily body. A good one.
