Draft at Merrifield location. Pours a coper color with a medium white head. Aroma of light hops, citrus, caramel, malts. Not very hoppy. Flavor is citrus, medium hops, malt, toffee. Not awful, but certainly would not impress an extreme hop head as it appears to be more in keeping with itβs European counterparts as opposed to "American IPA"

Sampled on tap at the Centreville location. Pours a light golden color with a medium head. Poor retention and lacing. Aroma of pale malts, grain and subtle grassy notes. Taste is light grain and a generic grassy finish. Watery and bland. Thin bodied. No skunk or anything off. One for the BMC crowd for sure.

Deep amber coloured body with a thinnish off-white head. Aroma of pumpkin pie spice, malt and a bit of spice. Light to Medium-bodied; Lightish spicey flavour with some pumpkin tastes and more malt. Aftertaste has some caramel sweetness and a bit more spice, but nothing outlandish. Overall, a nice marzen beer with some good spices and a bit of a malty kick - even stronger than usual. I sampled this beer on draught as a sampler at the Shirlington Oktoberfest in Arlington, Virginia on 07 October 2006.

Clear deep amber coloured body with a thin off-white head. Aroma of malt, nuts and a bit of spice. Light to Medium-bodied; Malty flavour up front with some light hops and subtle spices and nuts noticeable as well. Aftertaste shows more of the same, nothing great noticeable throughout the beer. Overall, not really worth trying unless youβve had everything else at the brewpub - there are too many other beer offerings here.
