Tap at Merrifield location. Pours a dark copper body with a quickly disappearing head. Aroma is slightly sweet, with a hit of caramel, malts, and toffee. Flavor is caramel, malts. Not too bad, with an alcohol content that is masked pretty well.

On Draft at Merrifield location. Had beer with bag of spices and pumpkin seeds, added little to the actual beer itself. Aroma of beer is pumpkin pie. Flavor is relatively light pie flavor with spice, and notes of nutty malt. These beers can be hit and miss from times to time, and this one was spot on.

Sampled at Brew at the Zoo at the National Zoo in Washington D.C. 4oz sample poured a transparent dark, maple brown with a thin white head. Nose is alright, grainy, bready with a hint of chocolate. Flavor is similar, more fruits, breads and grains - the chocolate malts really come through on the flavor making it very sweet. Finish is flat and a little watery. I’m not a fan of lagers but I actually liked this.

On tap. What can you say? Itβs a low carb light lager. While thatβs true - itβs highly drinkable and enjoyable. Pours a pale yellow with a small white head.

growler@Vero Beach Throwdown-pours a tan head that dissipates to a ring of bubbles and black color. Aroma is dark malt-licorice/chocolate, some acidic. Taste is dark malt-licorice/chocolate, some acidic-hops/alcohol bite. Thanks hopscotch for sharing.

From a growler shared by maniac. Thanks! Thickly coating yellow-black color. Looks rather medicinal, but I like it anyway. Smoky wood aroma with a little bit of offputting plastic. Astringent taste with fruity peach and grape notes. Lighter mouthfeel and almost feels like a wine to me. Dangerously drinkable.

On tap at Sweetwater Tavern - Sterling. Dark black body with a large frothy brown head that persists. Chocolate roast and caramel aroma. Sweet molassas flavor with rum soaked fruit, roast and caramel and a firm bitter ending. Full body with moderately low carbonation and a thick almost syrupy finish.
