On tap at Walhalla brewpub, Amsterdam, Saturday 10th January 2026, after a treacherous walk from the Buiksloterweg boat mooring and then Lowlander and then Oedipus. Pours pitch black with a tan head, sticky but bloody marvellous, liquorice, sticky burnt toffee, thick in the mouth, there's a little creaminess but smokiness comes through albeit not huge. Lovely, beer of the weekend. Score 8.3

On tap at Walhalla brewpub, Amsterdam, Saturday 10th January 2026, after a treacherous walk from the Buiksloterweg boat mooring and then Lowlander and then Oedipus. Hazy mid yellow with a white head there's a little citrus on the nose, similar with taste but with a little resinous touch. Soft mouthfeel, there is a nice light boozy hit. Very nice. Score 7.6

Pours orange/gold with a mid sized sticky white head. Thick mouthfeel, warming, a little bit tropical, juicy a touch sweet but it's v.nice. Score 7.6

On tap at Lowlander taproom, Amsterdam, Saturday 10th January 2026, after a treacherous walk from the Buiksloterweg boat mooring. Pours urine gold colour with a mid sized sticky white head. Another beer that's absolutely fine but the botanicals added are a little bit too much. It's fresh, it's a little zingy, fine but not wowing me. Score 6.5

Pours gold with a very slight haze, actually hardly any haze at all, mid sized white head. Not much to write home about here, it's ok, light bitterness, dry finish, yes okay but not so bothered with this one. Score 6.0
