Can courtesy of Jonas and Ursula, after a lovely afternoon/evening at Annafest Forcheim Friday 31st July in the company of Jonas and Ursula. Pours black with a light beige head. There's a little bit of liquorice on the nose, in the mouth it's easy going creamy, and smooth, the usual impy stout vibes are very subtle but very effective insofar as there is a little roasty bitterness, this is lovely,. Score: 7.8

Draft at Schützenkeller Annafest Forcheim Friday 31st July in the company of Jonas and Ursula. Pours hazy yellow gold with a large white head, The aroma is very authentic but the mouthfeel is a little bit flat, banana tick, light clove tick, but carbonation is lacking. Score: 6.3

Draft at Schindler Keller, Forcheim Friday 31st July in the company of Jonas and Ursula. Not sure of the colour as this is served in a stein krug. Clean, fresh and very more'ish. Really like this, it's simple but very good. Score: 7.6

On tap at Annafest, Forcheim Friday 31st July 2026 in the company of Jonas and Ursula. First beer is at Blümleins Keller. Pours probably gold (in a stein Krug) nice beer a little bready, soft mouthfeel, fresh and a little sweetish, easy drinking and more'ish. Score: 7.0

Can picked up from Craftbeershop Parchim and consumed at home sat on the balcony, it's a glorious evening, Thursday 30th July 2026 listening to a random selection of music including the new albums by Luke Haines and Robyn Hitchcock. Pours deep reddish brown, there was a head but it's now gone and I didn't note colour or size. Yes even more hoppiness and sweetness, burnt caramel, there's even a little bit of chocolate here but with a bitterness. This is a fab' big Barley Wine and not a million miles from a Bigfoot just needs to be even more bitter. Score: 7.6

Can picked up from Craftbeershop Parchim and consumed at home sat at the top of the garden, it's a glorious evening, Thursday 30th July 2026 listening to the new single from Beck. Pours murky yellow with a mid/large sized white head, hoppy from the off, it is very hoppy and yet not fierce. Orange, grapefruit and pineapple show in the mouth in a nice citrus and tropical combo'. Juicy but with a streaky bitterness underpinning things, I like this. Score: 7.8
