Can picked up from Beyond Beer webshop, Hamburg, Germany and consumed at home Thursday 4th June 2026 after some housework and gardening chores, we cooked outside in the wood oven, we had a Chicken, Potatoes and Rhubarb Traybake, a recipe courtesy of Jonas and Ursula, thanks guys 👍🏼. Anyway onto the beer, it pours black with a creamy textured off white head, the creaminess comment doesn't end there though as there's a creamy oatiness and mouthfeel with nice rich roasted malts. However as it's a breakfast stout the coffee really is the key ingredient here and gives this a lovely aroma and smooth lingering roast coffeeness to the taste. It's not quite as thick or rich in the mouth as I was expecting, it's a little more simple and straightforward, I guess my first thought was, would it be like some of the big coffee stouts from the past e.g. Mikkeller, but the hop intensity is really dialed down here it is all about the way that the coffee and roasted malts work in tandem and they go together very well. Btw Loz knocked my can over fortunately I already had a glass full, so probably ended up with just 250ml rather than 500ml 🤣Score: 7.5

Can picked up from Craftbeershop webshop, Parchim, Germany and consumed at home Thursday 4th June 2026 after some housework and gardening chores, we're now cooking outside in the wood oven our tea, it's a Chicken, Potatoes and Rhubarb Traybake, this is a recipe courtesy of Jonas and Ursula. Pours hazy orange with a large white sticky head that dropped to a filmy layer. I wasn't a big fan of this at first, I thought it's okay perhaps a tad mid table but I have to confess it's a grower and I'm beginning to really appreciate it. Citrussy and then piney, nice resinous streak, I didn't think that it was so bitter but after a while I realise there's a slight numbness to my tongue. The citrus bitterness returns, good. Dry finish Score: 7.4

Bottle picked up from Craftbeershop webshop, Parchim, Germany and consumed at home Thursday 4th June 2026 sat at the top of the garden after some housework and gardening chores. for tea. We have Chicken, Potatoes and Rhubarb Traybake later, this is a recipe courtesy of Jonas and Ursula. Pours hazy/cloudy homemade lemonade yellow with a large white sticky head. For me Störtebeker make some v.good beers and a lot of indifferent ones, sadly this one fits into the latter category, light sweetness, a little fruity but quite bland. Nice mouthfeel, yeah it's not a bad beer just completely forgettable. Score: 6.6

This really hits the spot and Loz is a big fan, I like it a lot, Loz loves it. Nice crisp bite, easy drinking and refreshing character. I also get the suggestion of a floral hop aromas, there certainly is. Yep' a v.nice beer. Score: 7.6

Can picked up from Craftbeershop webshop, Parchim, Germany and consumed at home Wednesday 3rd June 2026 watching The Mentalist on Netflix we had Fish Fingers, Chips and Mushy Peas for tea. Pours black with a beige head, lots of coffee, but creamy also but the coffee floods through. It's coffee on the nose but vanilla and dark bitter chocolate also, a touch of liquorice, thick creamy mouthfeel. Intense but very drinkable, okay it's probably better to share but I loved it and managed it my own. Great stuff. Score: 8.1

Can picked up from Craftbeershop webshop, Parchim, Germany and consumed at home Wednesday 3rd June 2026 listening to Huw Stephens on 6Music and we've got Fish Fingers, Chips and Mushy Peas for tea. Pours gold, light haze, slim small white head. Bitter, citrussy, fresh, dry and a very good example of a West Coast IPA, there's a lack of carbonation which is the one disappointment, otherwise it generally ticks most of the boxes. Score: 7.4

Bottle picked up from Craftbeershop webshop, Parchim Germany and consumed at home Sunday 31st May 2026 with Patrick who is 29 today. Pours mid gold with a large white head and a chill haze, otherwise it is mostly clear I think. Clean, fresh, fruity and a very decent thirst quencher, nice stuff. There's a little bit of dryness late on, it's simple and straightforward but it's really nice. Score:7.3
