On tap at brewpub at Gleis//Garten, Wien after a 6-7km wander from the centre. Clear gold, light gold with a mid sized white head. Nicely bitter but with an underlying sweetness that builds, slightly dry finish. Light fruitiness, much like the pils it's a fine effort but doesn't quite hit the mark. Score: 6.8

On tap at brewpub at Gleis//Garten, Wien after a 6-7km wander from the centre. Almost clear with just a hint of haze. gold in colour. A shy nose, not too much hops showing only slightly, perhaps a bit of maltiness. Flavour is a light bitterness a little bit of maltiness, solid if a little safe. Score: 6.5

Bottle picked up from Beerlovers, Wien Friday 22nd May 2026 and consumed back at our apartment at the end of the evening, Zoku Aparthotel after a nice afternoon/evening that took in the aforementioned bottle shop and Ammutsøn and the fabulous Kängaru. Pours shark eye black with a slim fast disappearing head, it's difficult to know what colour it was probably beige or a darker brown. Fudge, bitter cocoa, vanilla and caramel on the nose along with some dried dark fruits. Smooth mouthfeel, the flavour following a similar trajectory to the aroma with chocolate coming more to the forefront, there's also a roasty bitterness. This is very good, sweetness is mostly absent, has a very authentic feel to it, v.nice. Score:7.8

Bottle at Kängaruh, Wien Friday 22nd May 2026 after a twenty minute walk from Ammutsøn. Pours a orange/gold with a white head. Fruity and with a slightly overipe tropical touch there's a sweet maltiness but this is a big beer and the bitterness is well balanced. Score: 7.3

Bottle at Kängaruh, Wien Friday 22nd May 2026 after a twenty minute walk from Ammutsøn. Pours dark brown, a little darker than chestnut, perhaps closer to mahogany but nothing like pitch black, light beige head atop. Soft mouthfeel, liquorice and dark bitter cocoa, yeah this is very much in the vein of an old skool trad' Impy but bloody good. Nice roastiness, this really lingers, yeah very good. Score: 7.8

Bottle at Kängaruh, Wien Friday 22nd May 2026 after a twenty minute walk from Ammutsøn. Pours a light gold with a sticky white head and a very solid carbonation. Fruity and clean tasting beer, dry finish, light and fresh Brut IPA. We both like this. Score: 7.0

Bottle at Kängaruh, Wien Friday 22nd May 2026 after a twenty minute walk from Ammutsøn. Pours a dirty puddle brown with a slim beige head that didn't hang around for long. Nutty (chestnut) and rustic, carbonation is on the lighter side, malty in the mouth. Quite good. Score 6.9

On tap at Ammutsøn, Wien Friday 22nd May 2026. Pours gold with a slight haze and a white sticky head. Soft mouthfeel, nose is clearly pineapple but flavour whilst pineapple is there has an elegant perfume edge, almost a little lavender touch to this. Very easy drinking, very nice. Score:7.7
