Bottle picked up from Fristo Getrankemarkt Freising and consumed at home Monday 4th May 2026 after first day at work in new job with Josef Weiße, we were working at München Airport replacing lights. Just spent an hour watering things in the garden had Ndjua Meatballs with Rice for tea. Pours hazy gold with a large white long lasting head, nice mouthfeel, good bitterness, fruity with a clear citrus leaning, the Amarillo, Cascade and Citra doing an amazing job here to make you not even think about the fact that it's an alcohol free beer. Love the bitterness. Score: 7.3

Just spent an hour watering things in the garden now cooking Ndjua Meatballs with Rice. Pours light/mid gold good clarity, mid/large white head, taste is a bit of cereal but the non alcoholic taint comes through, aroma just about okay, mouthfeel good, had better, had worse. Score: 5.4

Can picked up from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg and consumed at home, we had nduja meatballs in a rich tomato sauce in the wood oven, after a day of gardening, it's been a very warm day it was up to 25c but getting much colder now so we're back inside. Pours black with a head that rapidly departed, there's a big coffee nose which translates into the flavour, thickness in the mouth, is there lactose??? I'm liking the big coffee hit, mouthfeel and roastiness but it's not perfect. Score: 7.0

Can picked up from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg and consumed at home cooking nduja meatballs in a rich tomato sauce in the wood oven, after a day of gardening, it's been a very warm day it was up to 25c earlier but now 16c and dropping. Pours dark chestnut brown with a ruby hue, good clarity. Malty on the nose with some chocolate. In the mouth, quite tangy, fruity, soft mouthfeel. Hoppiness coming through, light/middle bitterness, good. Score: 7.1

Can picked up from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg and consumed at home at the top of the garden after a day of gardening, it's been a very warm day it's 25c 😯. Pours hazy mid/dark amber large foamy white head, there's an earthy, hedgerow hoppiness to this but it's certainly hoppy, light citrus touches, bitterness is steady but subtle, light caramel touches, light maltiness, it's a good example of an ESB. Score: 7.3

Bottle DOG B that I picked up many years ago and is 13 years out of date now. Consumed at home Thursday 30th April 2026 watching The Mentalist on Netflix, we had Fish Fingers & Chips tonight for tea. Poured pitch black the light beige head was impressive for a few seconds before it was consumed by the only,oily depths below. It's held up remarkably well, no off flavours, still plenty of chocolate, smooth, rich and actually very decent. Score 7.7

Can picked up from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg and consumed at home Thursday 30th April 2026 listening to Huw Stephens on 6Music with Round Table, will probably have Fish Fingers, Chips tonight for tea. Pours hazy yellow with a large white head, hoppy, nice mouthfeel, zippy, a little harsh around the edges, hoppy burps, there's a little bit of pineapple but not picking up the lychee or comice pear, also the sweetness swiftly subsides. Much like Ian below it's not a style I get excited about, this is fine, but could be a bit smoother and less harsh. Score 7.0

Bottle picked up from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg consumed at home Wednesday 28th April 2026 after my last day at Grafenau Tafel and then gardening at home, listening to Huw Stephens on 6Music. Pours gold good clarity, mid sized white head. Nice fruity nose, mostly citrus but then a nice earthiness. Excellent English IPA, superb bitterness, dry finish, the Goldings and Northdown are doing a stunning job and really prove that an English IPA can really challenge others with more exotic hops. Score:7.8

Can picked up from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg consumed at home Saturday 25th April 2026 after a day of gardening. We're cooking Smoky Souvlaki Platter with Tzatziki Potato Salad and with Crispy Feta Parcels with Honey and Sesame drizzle. We're listening to the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on 6Music. Pours gold, hazy, mid sized white head. Possibly more citrus, light pithiness than resinous but it is a very good beer, dry and bitter towards the end. Score: 7.9

Can picked up from Beyond Beer webshop, Hamburg and consumed at home Sunday 19th April 2026 following a few days away from Wed' night until this morning in Freising and München visiting friends. We're doing one of our favourite recipes - Nidi di Tagliatelle al forno - However we're perking up the Ragu this time with the addition of Ndjua, listening to Twilight Sad - It's the Long Goodbye. Pours hazy pineapple yellow colour with a large white head, citrus up front, bitterness, pithy and quite a nice furry citrus rub across the tongue. Nice carbonation, soft mouthfeel. Good. Score: 7.6
