(Bottle, 0.1l, at Pikkulintu Puotila, 20250715) The beer poured dark brown and hazy. No head. Aroma had toasted malts, liquorice, banana and rye malts. Palate was full bodied, dry and warming with low carbonation. Flavours were toasted malts, rye, banana, alcohols, juniper and light bitterness. Aftertaste had malts, juniper and banana. A different take on sahti.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, from Punaisen piipun kievari, 20250705) The beer poured black. Tiny while head. Aroma had burnt malts, rye bread, coffee and lactic sweetness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, milk chocolate, ash, rye bread and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts, ash, rye bread and bitterness. A good burnt brew with mild adjuncts notes.

(Keg at Olarin Panimo Konepaja, 20250702) The beer poured yellow and opaque. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had ripe fruits, mango, grapefruit and spiciness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grapefruit, zesty fruits, floralness, ripe fruits and bitterness. Aftertaste had ripe fruits, resin and bitterness. A very bitter brew but the body survived it.

Keg at Pikkulintu Puotila, 20250629) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized, white and it lasted long. Aroma had spicy yeast, floralness, and lightly tropical fruits and honey. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were spicy yeast, funky notes, hint of honey, floralness, small amount of tropical fruits and good bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. A good spicy brew with subtle hop notes.

Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, tropical fruits, honey and bitterness. Aftertaste had tropical fruits, grain and bitterness. A tasty blend of fruity and grassy hops.

(Can, 0.44l, from the brewery, 20250628) The beer poured pale golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, honey and sweetness. Palate was light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, honey, grass and light bitterness. Aftertaste had sweetness and light bitterness. This was a well done brew. For a BJCP-pure American lager this had even too strong flavours. Clean.
