500mL bottle. Pours a very dark brown with no head. Dark chocolate, chilies, and a bit of bourbon on the nose. Flavour has thick dark chocolate, a nice heat from the chilies, good layer of bourbon; finishes hot from the booze and the chilies. Base seems solid, adjuncts are good, barrels wrap it up nicely. Solid.

473mL can. Pours a hazy blonde with a white head. Loads of dank, resinous hops and some piney notes on the nose. Flavour is very oily and dank, plenty of resins, some pine sap; more of a pot-like character than I normally expect from WC hops. Very clean and biting. Very nice.

330mL bottle. Pours clear gold. Lots of dry apple skins and a really nice musty, woody barrel character on the nose. Flavour has a touch of sweetness up front followed by dry apple skins, very musty, some old woody barrels. The apple expression has a nice level complexity that's complemented well with the barrels. Fantastic cider.

473mL can. Pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Pine, some dank notes, a bit of citrus, and biscuit malts on the nose; smelly a bit old. Flavour has a dry old pine, citrus peels, biscuit malts. Not bad, but showing its age.

500mL bottle. Pours nearly black with almost no head. Loads of peanuts, marzipan, marshmallows, caramel, and bourbon on the nose. Flavour has creamy peanut butter, caramel, chocolate, a bit of marzipan; has a boozy finish and some bourbon on the finish. Despite 34 months in the barrel this is still pretty sweet and doesn't have a very dominant bourbon character. It is very good, very nutty, good body, but it's still a bit too heavy on the pastry.

473mL can [canned on Feb 9]. Pours black with a large tan head. Pine, resins, and some gentle roast on the nose; almost a bit soapy. Flavour has bitter pine, resins, decent roast, a bit dusty; nice level of bitterness. Some of the age is coming through. Pretty solid, I would have liked to have tried this fresh.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with a pretty minimal head. Woody bourbon barrels, dark sugars, a bit of char, dark fruits on the nose. Flavour has deep brown sugars, some char, dark candied fruits, and an intense, woody bourbon barrel character. Finishes hot. Great complexity and a really nice barrel character.

On tap at Steamworks Mount Pleasant. Pours a clear pale gold with a white head. Pine, resin, and a bit of tangy gooseberries on the nose. Flavour has bitter pine, resins, biscuit malt, some tangy Riwaka accents. Probably past its prime, but it's still got some good hoppy punch.
