Best after 16 July 2009 on the label.
Not quite pitch black, there's a good 1 finger head of tannish foam with little lacing.
Big roasted malt nose with some mild notes of chocolate.
Roasted and sweet malts in the taste, a bit of chocolate, some coffee, and an unusual but well integrated more than a hint of fruity tones. Very nice.
Medium bodied with medium carbonation, though it feels quite bubbly during the swallow, it has a good mouth feel.
It does have a slightly boozy "feel" to it so I reckon 1 at a sitting would be otimal for me.

I've had this many times in the past, now I get to review it.
The bottle has a best after date. Sept 1, 2009.
I've always loved the name of the brew as compared to what it looks like when you pour it in a glass. Sparkling? It's a cloudy orange yellow. Small head of foam with some good lacing.
I note some citrus and a strongish smell of malt. Just like I remember.
Taste wise, it brings the lemony citrus hops and brings a solid malt background though it's not as sweet as in the smell. Could be a good thing. Also has some fruity tones I can't stick solely on the lemon I'm tasting. A nice plus.
A nice medium or at least close to medium body with a little less carbonation than a few of their other offerings...definitely an improvement in the mouth feel department.
Finally, I could drink copious quantities of this sparkling ale. Lots of good flavours and not a high price tag when it comes to the abv. Just generally, very enjoyable.

Bought locally, canned October 11th 2025.
Pours a hazy orange gold with plenty of foam, good retention and lacing.
Smell is citrus, pineapple, pitted fruit, light dankness.
The taste is pitted fruit, pineapple, citrus, some dank notes. It's fairly bitter.
Good juicy mouthfeel, I would drink this again.

Canned on September 4th 2025,bought locally.
Pours a clear light amber with over a finger of foam, very good retention and lacing.
Smell is big note of bread, bit of caramel, light fruity notes, low level of bitterness.
The taste is bread, caramel malt, toasted malt, some caramel that doesn't translate to sweetness. Bitterness level is very low. This is more of a Marzen style of Oktoberfest than a Festbier.
Good mouthfeel and carbonation is spot on.
I would drink this again.

Code on neck of bottle isn't clear.
Pours a clear deep amber with plenty of off white foam, retention and lacing very good.
Smell is bready, hoppy, some grain notes, light fruitiness.
The taste is big bread, grain, hints of nuttiness, semi sweet notes, bit of grass.
Medium bodied with medium carbonation, this is good but I probably won't buy it again.

On draught at Mountain Hops downtown.
Pours a clear 24k gold with an inch of foam, good retention and lacing.
Smell is massive citra hops aromas, little bit spicy, actually smells rather juicy.
The taste is delicious citra hops kick, juicy and a little spicy, pale malt, back to the hops, it has a resinous feel to it.
Medium bodied, good carbonation, this may be the brewery's best beer ever. Apparently, it will be coming out in cans pretty soon; they are working on the label.

From Beer Drop, canned June 12th 2025.
Pours a hazy orange yellow with a 2 finger head of foam, excellent retention and lacing.
Smell is wheat, raspberry, some tart notes, pretty fruity aroma.
The taste is tart and semi sweet raspberry, wheat, fruity as heck, no real need for complexity here.
Medium bodied with crisp carbonation, I would drink this again.
