Psytron Profile

Easily the place in Joensuu. 10-ish taps, mostly uninteresting but possibly with some picks. Cans/bottles heavily representing Finnish craft, although when I visited, zero picks from the region or even entire Eastern Finland. Nonetheless, definitely the place to visit in Joensuu.

Smell of raisins, bourbon, rye bread. Cloudy brown colour, miniscule beige head. Aroma of rye bread, oak, bourbon, toffee, booze. Soft carbon. Very sweet.

Smell of raw fruit, some straw. Opaque yellow colour, white head. Aroma of hops, straw, raw fruit. Light body. Fizzy carbon. Nice body for this ABV.

Smell of resin, citrus. Cloudy amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of citrus peel, resin, malt. A bit harsh and sharp. Fizzy carbon. Bitter.

Smell of malt, hay. Golden colour, white head. Aroma of malt, some grass. Purely malty. Lively carbon. Medium bitter. Dry palate. Very nice.

Smell of hops, tropical fruit, some resin and oat. Cloudy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma of grapefruit, hops, some straw and earth. Lively carbon. Medium bitter.

Smell of tar, licorice. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of tar, roasted malt, licorice. Coffee and faint milky note in finish. Robust body for this ABV., Lively carbon. Bitter, medium sweet.

A rock-themed bar slightly invisibly located, just a couple blocks from the market square. Nice selection, but mostly foreign ”sure picks”. About 15 Finnish crafts on bottles. Prices were surprisingly cheap (on Finnish standards).
