Cellar must and slight cheese rind from a good bit of lactic acidity. Fruity with some malt showing through on the finish (honey, white bread). Seems to be getting steadily softer and fruitier (including a good bit of Brett) as it warms/breathes, unsurprisingly. Getting pretty perky and getting some stonefruit in there.
Nice and fruity, bright and perky in the flavor. Still has a bit more cheese rind/hard lactic character than I'd prefer, but that's my only complaint. Though for all the lactic character, it's not really sour. Mostly just nicely tart. It's malty, as well, with zesty, refreshing, ultra-tight carbonation and tons of fruity Brett on the finish. I will say, I don't find it to be more flavorful/complex for it's additional 2% abv, so I don't love that. Perhaps it is maltier, as a result, but not sure that I need maltier. Have never been unhappy with 5% abv lambics and never wanted more malt/alcohol. Despite the refreshing, bright flavors, like so often happens with Tilquin, there is just about zero funk, sadly.

Bourbon smells a little less sweet than the Heaven Hill version. Or maybe that's the actual beer? Whatever the case, there's a firm spice and depth to the bourbon, a bit more subtle/understated than the very forward and bright Heaven Hill. Rich oak in the background with soft, nutty wheat and a good mix of caramel-toffee. No alcohol noted. Really round, deep and balanced.
Richly malty with a very elegant bourbon character. Never had OF, but I'd love to after having this. Strong caramel-toffee with a soft, chewy wheat texture and a fair bit of sweetness, drying out pretty well on the finish with a lip-smacking honey-like note lingering alongside the spicy, almost earthy bourbon and gentle oak. No alcohol anywhere. Honey Pot isn't my favorite base of theirs (don't think honey added to beer ever works out very well, and it's also on the sweeter side), but the OF 9year elevates this very nicely.
