Pale gold with a foamy, white head. Yeasty, worty, dough-like aroma. The touch of clove only partly salvages it. Taste is mildly sweet, finishing with grains and white bread on the tongue. Body to the light side of medium, mild carbonation. Pretty average for a NA Weizen, but that doesn’t mean it’s any good.

Yellow gold with a foaming, sudsy, white head. Perfumed & fruity aroma that is reminiscent of a cleaning agent. Taste is mildly bitter up front, moderate bitter at the back. Mildly citric. Medium bodied, moderate watery texture that could be chewier. Too many off-notes to be enjoyable.

Pale gold with a light haze. Soft, dough-like notes with hints of bubblegum and clove. Taste is.moderate bitter, mildly spicy but also a bit metallic. Lingering dough-like sweetness underneath clove and metal. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, mildly watery texture. Mediocre for the style.

Draft at Bent’s Camp near Land O’Lakes Wisconsin. Brewer not known, although I suspect 3 Sheeps. Brown with a frothy, off-white head. Caramel and tea aroma. Modest burnt notes. Mildly sweet up front. Bittersweet to bitter at the back with modest roast. Lingering note of brown sugar. Good one.

At Bents Camp. Amber with a frothy head. Caramel, berries, and Malzbier aromas. Manages a mild, toasted bitterness. Finishes moderately watery. Easygoing. Lingering berries and toast. Quite good for the style.

A few sips from Jacob’s glass at Bents Camp. Pale gold with a frothy head. Intense blueberry syrup aroma. Taste is better .. mildly bitter throughout, offset only moderately by a syrupy aftertaste. Not my thing.

Black with a creamy, beige head. Aroma promising pine, toast and chocolate. Taste is bitter, a mix of toasted grains and resin. Long, bitter finish. There’s a rich, malty body underneath but this stays hops-forward. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Good one.
