Retired American Luddite and refugee of the 2018-2024 Ratebeer/Anheuser-Busch (InBev) fiasco. Thanks Brewver for the chance to continue rating! ....... and yes, I'll soon be a supporter! ........ Since 1968, I've enjoyed all kinds of cheap macro pale lagers, starting with Carling Black Label bottles I found in Grampa Gino's wine cellar! Later, my dad had faves like Old Mil, Strohs, Bud, Coors Light and Piels! They were all good for a budding youngster like me. My ratings aren't to style, but how much I liked it. Thus, my fave styles; lambic, wild & flemish, rate much higher than IPA since I don't like bitter hoppy beers. You like IPA? The lower my IPA rating, the better according to style! There, you have it! Easy peezy, no worries!

Cheap can from chalet premiere. Pour is big black large and in charge with its fading tan choco moose head. Coffee on choco malt nose, quite nice to the olfactory. First taste is slightly burnt black coffee with a follow up of some tartness. Very mild soft carbonation, almost comes across like a nitro. In the middle, I'm still interested in its unique coffee tart character. That mild tartness gives it a feel dissimilar to other coffee beers I've had. Also, the coffee is not totally in yer face, it seems to be balanced nicely with the stout substrate. Not bad. Hides its alky content rather well.

Cheap bottle of flavored fruity apple cider from chalet. Pour is quite clear pale with an ever so slight light brown tinge. A fruity berry nose fer sher. Taste is very sweet and a little tart. Mostly sweet, comes across like a fruit drink. Keep this away from the children. Sweet tart and co2 gives it a good feel on the palate. You can't really tell there is any alcohol in this fru-fru-fruity soda. Goes down way too easy. Yes, a plethora of fruity sweet berry flavors and just maybe you'll gt some apple cider on the aftertaste. Could easy drink a bunch of these but then I'd be worrying about the affect of the unfermented sugar in my belly. Certainly the opposite of anything I would call dry.

2$ clear bottle from chalet. Pale gold yellow and clear. Thin head fades immediately. Nose is a pear jolly rancher hard tack candy fruity perfume. First taste is very sweet, something like ice perry I've had without the waxy feel nor the viscosity. Rather smooth. Sweet, yes, but it is not as sweet as many other ciderboys products I've had. In the middle, maybe I am getting some waxy notes. Not as mouth coating as ice perry but it is acceptable in many attributes. Yes, it could be a little more dry, but heh, you don't find real perry around these parts too often, especially at this price. The sweetness does concern me a bit on the finish. May be a little ruff on my tummy, LoL.

Aass lite from total wine in st pete. Nothing on the label says 0l, nor does it say vienna, just lager; but, the can looks exactly like this one pictured. Clear pale, typical lite merikan beer look. Nose is a little bit off, with some farmy fart nose. Carbonation is very good, almost cutting. I'm thinking there is no real negative attributes on the first taste. Goes down pretty easy, reminds me of Outlaw Light that has been aged in a hot environment for about a year. You know, some sulfur on the nose and taste. Not bad overall for a $3 tick. Decent down the throat easy downer.
