Small glass at Les Vedettes after dinner. Lightly sour nose, following through in the flavor, hint of breadiness and biscuit behind a veil of crisp acidity. Low hop bitterness but it fits in this beer. Pretty tasty.

Drunk at Les Vedettes Rennes while building a house for bunny out of Kapla wood blocks some bearded guy invented in the 80s. Hazy yellow orange, nice tropical nose with a lot of fruits and little pine. Very smooth tropi flavor, light caramel and great forest-pine and lupulin backbone behind very aromatic fruits. Excellent one!

Bottle from the cidery, reddish cloudy gold, almost no head. Lightly funky nose, Brett-like? Some fruitiness, lots of apple skin/seed kind of tannic notes. Carb is mild but feels like more due to the pretty high acidity. It's interesting, a bit rough around the edges, ages well at 8 years with a still identifiable and strong apple flavor. That's wild yeast for you!

From the supermarket near our lodging. Gold color and smooth carbonation. Mild acidity, big fruit flavor, moderate sweetness. Mid complexity, excellent for the afternoon. Great with soft cheese.

Drunk in Dinard after tapas at Pep's, post eclipse stout! Darkest black with a tall tan head. Nose of roasted malt and a hint of the sea. Nice rich flavor without being overly sweet. Well integrated flavors with a hint of sea/salt, not fishy at all. Smooth earthy bitterness on the finish. I'm ready for Sharknado 2!

Drunk after ascending the Eiffel Tower with a kid late at night. Mostly clear gold, slightly farmhouse nose, flavor mildly malty with a light hop note of citrus. Decent natural biere!

Bottle from a supermarket in Montmartre, drunk after sushi dinner whilst reading Peter F Hamilton in a hot apartment. Rather clear yellow amber, small head, lightly farmhouse grainy nose. A bit malty, I'd almost call it a Saison: Light citrus and decent bitterness, but definitely more Belgian style farmhouse-like IPA than anything else. Pretty tasty.
